Here’s what a project could look like. Your starting point may be different.
Shipment document processing
Extract and compare information across invoices and delivery records.
Explore this example
Prepare structured fields from approved documents, check references and flag mismatches. Staff review values that affect customs, billing or dispatch.
Customer updates and tracking support
Answer status questions from the latest available shipment record.
Explore this example
Connect authorised tracking data and explain when an update is stale or missing. Delivery estimates must come from an approved system, not be guessed by the model.
Dispatch and exception coordination
Give delayed, incomplete or failed jobs a clear owner.
Explore this example
Bring operational exceptions into one queue, draft follow-ups and keep a record of the handoff. Routing optimisation is separately evaluated against real constraints and data.
From delivery exception to owned action
An exception queue with shipment context, an owner and a draft update.
Illustrative workflow · not live client data- 1Receive the status event

Accountable to your team.
Your systems. Better connected.
Transport and warehouse management, dispatch, order systems, carrier feeds and document storage. We check event freshness and source-of-truth rules before connecting actions.
Explore systems and integrationsClear responsibilities.
Your team approves dispatch changes, customs declarations and commercial commitments. No invented delivery times or automatic regulatory clearance.
Discuss deployment and dataStart with shipment-status support.
Choose one operation and its trusted tracking source. Agree authentication, data freshness and escalation rules.
Agree the result before the build.
Repeated status calls, unsupported answers and exception handoff time.
We assess the process, build the connections and add AI where it helps. Scope, costs and support are agreed before delivery.
How we workBefore you start.
What to expect from ai for logistics and distribution.
Can AI reduce shipment paperwork?
It can extract fields, compare documents and prepare review queues. Staff still verify important values and approve submissions where required.
Will it optimise our delivery routes?
Route optimisation is a separate, data-dependent capability. It needs capacity, timing and operational constraints, not just a conversational AI assistant.
Can customers ask where their order is?
Yes, if the assistant can access an authorised, sufficiently current tracking source. It should say when status is unavailable and route the request to staff.
Is this everything z80 can help with?
No. These are starting points, not a fixed service menu. Tell us what you want to improve or build, even if it is not listed here. We can explore one workflow, several departments or a custom platform, and agree what is feasible around your systems and priorities.
